CASHMAN'S FLUSH WITH GRATITUDE!
The Non-League Football Paper
|June 29, 2025
DANNY CASHMAN says Worthing helped him 'find himself again' after leaving the Rebels to return to the Football League with Crawley.
Cashman scored 20 goals in 55 appearances last season and racked up his 100th game for the south-coast club as they crashed out of the National League South play-offs to Maidstone in April's play-offs.
As a result, offers came flooding in for the in-demand 24-year-old before he put pen to paper on a two-year deal at his home-town club last week.
For Cashman, it spelt the end of a magical era with the Rebels, who rescued him from a stagnated two-year spell at Coventry City which saw him loaned out three times.
And the striker paid tribute to the Rebels for the positive effect they had on helping him rediscover his mojo and find his appetite for the pro game once more.
“I wanted to just enjoy playing football again,” Cashman told The NLP.
