Williams adding to Bulls legacy
EDGAR Street has always held a special place in Andy Williams’ heart.
It’s approaching two decades since the stalwart striker helped end Hereford United’s nine-year exile from the Football League, top scoring in the side which edged out Halifax Town in the Conference play-off final at Leicester’s Walkers Stadium.
Now, he is back where he feels he belongs – and has got promotion in his sights once again.
At the age of 38, Williams continues to make a difference – this time with the reformed Hereford FC. His seven goals this season have been crucial to the Bulls launching a sustained title challenge in National League North, under manager Paul Caddis.
“My aim when I came here was always to help where I can to get the club promoted, at least back into the National League,” Williams told The NLP.
“I started my career with a promotion, and it would be amazing to complete the circle and for history to repeat itself at the end of this season.
