CHAPLIN CHEER FOR MCKENNA

Town climbed to second in the league with a hat-trick from Conor Chaplin along with two goals from Freddie Ladapo and one from Leif Davis as they leapfrogged over Sheffield Wednesday, who were beaten at Burton.

McKenna said: “It was a good performance, lots to enjoy.

“We started the game with a great intensity, got the early goals and were pretty relentless right the way through.

“A really good performance, a day to enjoy for the club of course with the Foundation Day and a full stadium, but it’s only three points, there’s no bonus points for a performance like that and it’s a step in the right direction but we have to back that up on Tuesday.
