A SCULPTURE FOR YOUR DRIVEWAY

At a time when automakers are cutting down on engine displacement and the number of cylinders, in addition replacing petrol with the magic of electrons and fairy dust, it's more than unusual to come across a hybrid that does just the opposite. The 2025 Revuelto retains Lamborghini's legendary mid-mounted V-12 while incorporating three electric motors to generate an incredible, astonishing 1001 horsepower.

The Revuelto, being a plug-in hybrid, utilises those additional motors for performance enhancement instead of efficiency improvement like other cars. This leads to immediate acceleration without sacrificing the magnificent and roaring sounds from the exhaust and engine, yet the fuel efficiency is nearly as dreadful as that of the 769-hp Aventador - the car it supersedes. On the other hand, if you can afford to spend S$2,680,000, without COE, on a twoseat motorcar, it is doubtful that fuel expenses are a major concern.

imageThe Revuelto's eye-watering price tag inherently factors in exclusivity and that's just the beginning. Some paint choices will cost you an additional S$15,000, and carbon fibre upgrades can accumulate to over S$100,000. It's safe to say options add up on this Lambo.

Obviously, this Lamborghini isn't a sheep in wolf's clothing. The naturally aspirated, midmounted V-12 engine with a displacement of 6.5 litres and an output of 814 hp screams to a redline of 9500 rpm. Two of the three electric motors in the powertrain drive the front wheels, while the third is part of the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and aids the V-12 petrol engine on the rear axle.
