Belgian takes third gold medal to end UCI's first combined World Champs, Tom Davidson reports in Glasgow

Lotte Kopecky reaped the rewards of the new Super Worlds format, crowning her time in Scotland with victory in the women’s road race to win her third world title.
The Belgian became the first woman from her country in 50 years to win the rainbow jersey on the road, and did so with a trademark attack, breaking away on an uphill drag inside the final six kilometres.
The win followed a fruitful week on the track, in which she dominated the elimination and points races to bag her first two gold medals in Glasgow.
