It pays to be aggressive at Paris-Roubaix, says the Canadian’s sports director
Alison Jackson’s breakaway triumph at Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift proved that “fortune favours the brave” in the cobbled Monument, her EF-Education-TIBCO-SVB sports director Tim Harris told Cycling Weekly in Roubaix.
Jackson, a 34-year-old Canadian, was on no contenders lists prior to the race. Many called a foregone conclusion – another win for SD Worx, the dominant team of the spring. But when 18 riders went up the road and gained a six-minute advantage, belief grew that it would stay away.
