The XT Arctic Celsius GTX is touted as a do-it-all option for the worst that winter can throw at you, whether you're on or off road (the XT standing for 'cross terrain'). In terms of design, it's essentially a standard shoe with a bootie/gaiter-style cuff bonded to it, which gives more flexibility in the upper than a traditional winter boot provides.

Waterproofing is provided by Gore-Tex's new PFAS-free Cirrus XT 4L membrane, while a hefty 200g PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco lining wraps your foot in polyester microfibre. The footbed is fleece-coated to repel chills and trap warm air, and provides good arch support, while the outer is reinforced in high-wear areas, with reflective touches for visibility.
