The Netherlands cricket team will head into the ICC Cricket World Cup looking to be positive and play a fearless brand of cricket. Notably, the Dutch finished as the runners-up in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers. They showed a lot of character and steel in that tourney as several players stepped up. The Netherlands finished second in the group stage to qualify for the next round. Most importantly, they beat West Indies in the group. In the Super Six stage, they won two games and lost to SL, showing great determination. In the final, once again, they bowled well but fell short with the bat. Roelof van der Merwe and Colin Ackermann have been included in the Netherlands’ squad as they bring plenty of experience. They weren’t part of the Qualifiers squad.
