Plastic makes life a lot more convenient in many different ways, but it comes at a cost.

Humans get through an awful lot of plastic. It's used to produce food packaging; it's used in clothing; it's used to make laptops and phones; it's used in hospitals; it's used in cars, including for handles, seatbelts and bumpers - the list goes on. The world relies on this cheap, lightweight, mouldable material. However, although it is cheap to make, plastic comes at a cost.
