AT 65, Sarjubai Meena is as steadfast in her determination as she was 15 years ago, when a borewell-drilling machine had arrived at her village in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district."l and 30 other women from my village Amartiya lay down before the machine and did not move till it returned," Meena recalls, adding that no one in the village has attempted to dig a borewell since then.
