Sequels are a major part of the PC gaming industry, with HD remakes and remasters getting in on the action too. Chatter about Half-Life 3 has intensified recently, but The Spy’s sources have yet to bring in solid information on this, and several have gone missing.

Hardware gets sequels too, of course, and Intel’s latest change from Core to Core Ultra has set the cat among the cyber-pigeons by managing to perform worse on the desktop than the 14th-gen chips it replaced, while AMD has sailed up the rankings with its 9800X3D chip. It has become a three-act tragedy for Intel, as its rival now commands the console and handheld PC markets too.

Such things are usually beneath The Spy, who prefers the order and method of the games themselves rather than the machines they play on, which come and go with a depressing regularity reminiscent of lovers, archenemies, and of course sources within Valve.
