Introduction of SMART Soldier Initiative
Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi's SMART Soldier initiative has spurred the Indian Army's modernization efforts in recent years. The objective of this initiative is to provide personnel with state-of-the-art technology to improve their operational efficiency in a variety of environments. The F-INSAS, Advanced Mobility Vehicles, Night Combat Capabilities, Drones, and AI Integration are among the critical components.

The Indian Army has implemented the Futuristic Infantry Soldier as a System (F-INSAS) as a comprehensive modernization initiative. The objective of this program is to transform infantry personnel into technologically advanced, highly capable combat units. This initiative is intended to improve the operational efficiency of soldiers in diverse and challenging environments, in accordance with the overarching objective of developing "SMART Soldiers."
