Jim travels to Thailand in search of snakes and the newly classified Tenasserim Pit Viper - all in 100% humidity!

As part of our recent wildlife photography trip to Thailand, we included two full days dedicated to searching for snakes in and around Kaeng Krachan National Park.
I was eager to see how my Canon EOS R7 and Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1L IS USM lens combination would manage with photographing wildlife in general and snakes in particular.
Overall, Thailand has some amazing snakes, Kaeng Krachan itself is home to around 70 species and I wondered how many we would encounter during our short visit. Our prime target was Pope's Green Pit Viper which was reclassified as a new subspecies, Tenasserim Pit Viper, earlier this year.
