Saturation increases during editing are often problematic because the Saturation and Vibrance sliders in Lightroom are fairly blunt instruments. Sure, they provide saturation control in two slightly different ways, but they’re far from the best options. And while the HSL controls provide refined control over individual colour channels, it’s the Calibration controls that produce the richest and often most natural colours.
