United star told to 'button it' after criticising national-team 'ghosting'

The Swiss FA's sporting director has criticised Leeds United winger Noah Okafor for going public with his grievances after being left out of the most recent national team squad.

Noah Okafor has been left out of the Switzerland squad again this month.

Okafor was absent from the Switzerland squad announcement ahead of two World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Kosovo. The Leeds winger was also not selected by head coach Murat Yakin during the September or October international breaks and has not represented his country for almost a year.

Speaking to The Athletic after his latest snub, Okafor said: "Since then, I never spoke with the coach, not even a phone call or a message, also with the [Swiss FA's] sporting director Pierluigi Tami. They don't even call me or ask me.
