Hunslet RLFC's 18 fit players put in a battling performance but were beaten 40-12 at Widnes in the Championship.

The Parksiders fielded a team including youngsters Zach McSwiney, Finley Balback, Joe Ward and Ryan Westerman, along with Ethan Wood and Liam Carr.
It took Widnes 13 minutes to open the scoring, after a knock-on from a kick and a penalty for offside.
Quick passing to the left sent Jon Bennison over to score, Declan Patton converting (6-0).
