Powell 'super proud' after his side see off champions Wigan

Wakefield Trinity head coach Daryl Powell said he was “super proud” with his side’s 16-10 victory over Wigan Warriors on Friday and sees no reason why they should not press on to cement their place in the top six.

Tries from Caius Faatili, Josh Griffin and Tom Johnstone wrapped up a stirring win for the buoyant hosts that leaves Trinity in great shape for a play-off push.
“It’s kind of mental that the boys have got that energy on a five-day turnaround,” said Powell.
