June 24, 2025

- Carl Quilliam, public affairs manager, CIPD

We have engaged with employers across Yorkshire and Humber-and more widely - to gather feedback on these proposals and used their insights to inform recommendations to the Government, to try to ensure any changes work for both workers and employers.

Our research highlights the importance of this balance, with a significant 79 per cent of employers in Great Britain anticipating increased costs because of the proposed new legislation to protect workers rights.
