Milestone as the first tenants move into new council houses

The first tenants have moved into a development of 55 new council homes in east Leeds.

Work at the Ambertons, in Gipton, started in late 2023 as part of Leeds City Council's Council Housing Growth Programme (CHGP).

Now, the keys to the first six homes have been handed over. Work on the project is due to be completed by the end of the year.

The development - by Wates Construction - will include two-, threeand four-bedroom houses, as well as one-bedroom bungalows, built on brownfield sites along Amberton Terrace, Amberton Crescent, Amberton Street and Montagu Avenue.
