Menopause: It's time for employers to step up support

This October, Menopause Awareness Month is a timely reminder for organisations to review how they support staff experiencing menopause at work and to identify any gaps where support needs to be strengthened.

Around three in four women experience menopause symptoms, and for about one in four, those symptoms are serious enough to significantly disrupt daily life. For too many, that disruption understandably affects working women in the workplace too.

In recent years, we've seen welcome progress with more organisations acknowledging menopause as a workplace issue and taking steps to support staff. But this isn’t the case across the board, and too many women struggle in silence.
