Leeds council placing seventh on UK parking charge chart

New data has revealed the amount of money generated by Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued to motorists for parking offences in Leeds.
A new Freedom of Information request by Confused.com found that Leeds City Council has made £6,648,415 from PCNs since 2022.
The price comparison website asked all UK councils for figures on the number of parking fines distributed from 2022 until October 2024.
Bath and North East Somerset Council topped the list on £32.7 million, ahead of City of Edinburgh Council (£19.4m).
Leeds ranked seventh overall.
