Kit designer launches his new brand with hopes of club and cult following
Yorkshire Evening Post
|October 10, 2025
The designer behind Leeds United's 2023/24 'Peacock' kits is hosting a live launch event for a new clothing brand that will be part club, part cult.
Leeds United fan Ed Cowburn and his independent football fashion brand Acid FC hold their first ever live event at Rita's Beer Hall in Leeds on October 16.
The event, titled 'Who Are You?' will mark the official launch of Acid FC's debut merchandise range and raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Acid FC's creative director, Cowburn was behind the trio of Peacock-inspired kits worn in Daniel Farke's first season in charge at Leeds United. He wants Acid FC to be something between a brand, a club and a cult.
"Maybe a bit of all three?" he said. "Acid FC is what happens when you love football, but you're also completely broken by it.
"It's a fan-driven brand inspired by the madness, the stories, the heartbreak - and the joy of following football. We've got no players.
