Gran's despair as Moroccan husband can't get UK visa

A gran who married a Moroccan toyboy 24 years her junior still can't live with him after he was twice denied a UK visa.

Karen Aghzzaf, 70, met husband Brahim, 46, on the social network Facebook in July 2015 while living in Castleford - and he lived in Khemisset, Morocco.

She says people initially "thought he was with me for my money or citizenship" due to their 24-year age gap.

Brahim is just five years older than Karen's oldest son, taxi driver Dominic, 41, and 14 years older than her other son, charity shop volunteer Jordan.

The mum-of-two and gran-of-three says the pair "instantly hit it off" and she loved how "kind" he was and flew to Marrakesh in July 2016 to meet him in person.

The pair wed in November 2017 but are yet to live together as Brahim has twice failed the English language test required to obtain a spouse visa - something the couple blame on his dyslexia.
