Entitled to our views

The climate zealots have over recent times gone into overdrive in YEP Your Views, even getting one letter printed twice in a few days to ram their message home.

It is expected that their dismissal of sceptic or even alternative views is backed up monotonously with polls of unstated scope and evidence of tables, graphs and calculations that are littered with "this may or could happen". It is understood their view worships at the altar of Net Zero. They are entitled to their view.

But surely what is not acceptable to even the most die hard zealot is the request by Jon Blaza in YEP December 8, 2025 to "please refrain from publishing letters..." which express alternative views.

Mr Blaza must surely understand such a McCarthyist view should only gain acceptance in nations such as Russia, China and Iran and has no place in even Starmer's Britain. Shutting down debate is a position I doubt the YEP or any reputable news and information outlet would agree with.
