And so it was, I sat down with the jeweller like a fluffy chick may perch in front of a friendly looking pussycat.

"I'd like to buy an engagement ring," I opened with. He countered with the stock reply, "Congratulations, what were you thinking of?"

"Well, after 15 years of marriage that it was maybe time to get engaged," came the reply as I sat there overcome with the strange feeling of what it must be like to plan a future as a bigamist.
