Don't make your excuses, do the right thing instead

Last Saturday wasn’t the best day I've ever had. It could easily be classed as a bit of a stinker but it was considerably worse for a poor deceased cat I happened upon and its owner.

The unfortunate feline was far from the first dead pet I've come across - a victim of the roads and a driver that having struck the animal simply left it to its fate.

Now before anyone pipes up, telling me that legally you do not have to stop your vehicle if you hit a cat, let me head that off. Legally, you don’t but the law needs changing.

Morally, you should and if you hide behind a ridiculous law on this, that allows cats to lay dead or dying - injured and in pain - you are at the very pinnacle of moronity.
