Course-distance specialist eyes winning return

Heathcliff can make the most of a return to seven furlongs in the Try Unibet’s New Smartview Racecards Handicap at Kempton.

James Fanshawe's charge has three wins over that course and distance to his credit but has been sent over six furlongs at the Sunbury venue the last twice, placing on both occasions, albeit seeming to lack that required extra bit of toe in the final strides.

Those two runs demonstrated a mark of 91 is within his compass and he has been holding his own at this level, so another good run is expected.
