Cancer patient grew drug in exchange for CBD oil

A cancer sufferer grew cannabis plants in exchange for CBD oil that he used to self medicate, Leeds Crown Court heard.

Police found 37 plants growing at 60-year-old Steven Manson's home in Kepler Mount, Sheepscar, when they responded to concerns raised by neighbours.
He admitted one count of producing the drug and one of using electricity without authority.
Prosecuting, Elizabeth Noble said officers went to Manson's home on July 15 after reports that cannabis was being grown.
