Ace all-rounder Brady bids farewell to the Tykes to tackle new challenge

Jake Brady says the challenge of leading his own team and being the man responsible for the big decisions was too good to turn down after swapping promoted Leeds Tykes for relegated Harrogate RUFC.

Brady will become the full-time director of rugby at Harrogate at the end of June, after six years as a player at Leeds and four years as the club's general manager. In that role he was responsible for rebuilding the former Premiership club from an operations and commercial standpoint.

Having helped them regain their footing in that respect before playing a big part on the pitch in two promotion challenges - the latter of which resulted in elevation to National One this past season - he is ready to spread his wings.

Harrogate - one of his former clubs along with Doncaster and Pontefract - have offered the perfect fit for the 36-year-old forward. "As soon as we got the job of promotion done at Leeds, I thought what's the next challenge," said Brady. "This role is the right one for me with where I'm at in my career; it will be a chance to learn and grow.
