A celebration of the rich history of our city's most striking architecture

Heritage Open Days take place across the city from now until Sunday September 21 and invite everyone to explore how buildings, structures and spaces have shaped our lives and heritage.

And Leeds will be offering its biggest programme ever, with more than 300 free events.

From guided walks to behind-the-scenes tours, exhibitions to family-friendly trails, the record-breaking free lineup will open doors to some of the city's most fascinating places.

Leeds Civic Trust coordinates the local programme, with this year's highlights including the unveiling of the 204th Leeds Civic Trust Blue Plaque at Gipton Fire Station next Saturday (September 20).
