The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria, handed over appointment letters to 198 newly appointed Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) at a ceremony organized by the Education Department of the Chandigarh Administration.
The event marked a significant milestone in the Administration’s commitment to transparent and merit-based recruitment, while also reflecting its resolve to elevate the city’s education sector to greater heights.
The Governor complimented the Chief Secretary for effectively leading the department in conducting a fully transparent and structured recruitment process for 993 posts across various teaching cadres. He appreciated the tireless efforts of the team that designed and implemented a systematic and fair selection procedure. This move also adds to the existing strength of 2,197 Trained Graduate Teachers, further enhancing the quality of education in government schools across the city.
