BIS organises 'Manak Manthan' program on IS 2062

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Chandigarh branch office, organized a Manak Manthan Program on the wide circulation of IS 2062, hot rolled medium and high tensile structural steel, specification today at hotel Regal Blu, Ludhiana. The session witnessed active participation from over 70 representatives from industry and academia.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Saurabh Verma, deputy director, BIS Chandigarh, who introduced the participants to BIS’s core activities and standardization initiatives. This was followed by a technical presentation by Mr. Harsh Sonkar, deputy director, who provided a detailed overview of IS 2062:2022, emphasizing the recent revisions and key technical provisions of the standard.
