In a significant move aimed at easing financial pressure on residents and boosting revenue for city development, Bilaspur Nagar Parishad has announced a 10% rebate on property tax payments valid until May 31.
This initiative replaces the previous system of imposing a 10% penalty for delayed payments after March 31, which had yielded limited results. Nagar Parishad Chairman Kamal Gautam said the decision is targeted at achieving 100% property tax recovery while simultaneously offering relief to the public. The council has so far collected Rs 29 lakh out of a total due of Rs 5
