Top marks for nursery staff & kids
Wishaw Press
|June 25, 2025
A Wishaw nursery has been hailed by inspectors following an unannounced visit earlier this month.
Cabbage Patch Nursery received three 'good' marks and one 'very good' from the Care Inspectorate after the visit to the Netherton Road nursery.
Inspectors stated that children experienced warm, caring and nurturing care from a staff team; children's health and wellbeing was enhanced through daily access to outdoor play and staff being flexible and supportive of each other.
Cabbage Patch nursery manager Ashlea Lambert said: "I am absolutely over the moon with our inspection feedback and grades and I couldn't be more proud of our team.
"We all work so hard daily so receiving the feedback and grades really does recognise how hard we really do work and how much we all put into our roles.
"For me the nursery is not only my job, it's a huge part of my life and is very much important to me, after working here for 18 years it really is great to see the improvements and that we continue to see.
"Cabbage Patch is one big family with the staff, children and their parents and grandparents."
