A man brandished a knife during a late night disturbance that left a householder "in a state of shock".

Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that William Passmore was again caught with a blade at the same address less than three months later. Passmore, 30, appeared from custody at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

He admitted acting in a threatening or abusive manner outside a flat in Carfin Street, New Stevenston, on November 15. He also admitted carrying a knife and threatening police officers at the same location on February 6 while on bail.

Scott O'Connor, prosecuting, said the first incident happened around 11pm.
