Two goals from top scorer Jack Crago did the dame for the Lambs, who could have won by a larger margin, according to their delighted manager, who saw his side move out of the relegation places with the win.

“It was nice to get a win, it was much needed and it was no more than we deserved, to be fair,’ Henderson said. “It wasn’t like we were holding on, it could have been more to be fair.

“They played like they always play and we created a lot of chances off the back of that. We have played against them so many time now and. whatever personnel they have playing, their style doesn’t change a lot.

“It’s total football and if you can nick the ball off them, then there is so much space that you know you are almost in on goal almost. We were good value for the win, I thought”
