City's loss leaves Wareham annoyed
Western Morning News
|November 18, 2025
EXETER City striker Jayden Wareham said it was a horrible feeling for the Grecians to be beaten in League One at Leyton Orient on Saturday.
City had looked like they were on course to secure a third away win of the season and extend their unbeaten all competitions run to six until two late goals cost them dearly.
Wareham, from the penalty spot, had put Gary Caldwell’s men ahead, with the striker dispatching the spot-kick with ease, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way, for what was a seventh goal of an impressive season so far - and a fourth goal in five games.
But moments after Reece Cole saw a header agonisingly come back off the inside of the post, Orient turned the game around, with two goals in five minutes securing them the points.
