Never had much time for the notion that the world is run by a bunch of giant lizard people on behalf of aliens. It's more likely run by cats on behalf of themselves, to be honest

DON'T know about you, dear reader, but I do like it when the world goes a wee bit odd, a bit kooky or even just a tiny, teeny bit, bonkers. Wouldn't want it that way all the time. Oh, no. Far too difficult to be doing with full-time trickiness. But from time to time, well, it's rather fun. If you're sitting comfortably, I shall explain.
I've just had one of those strange moments that turn up from time to time, especially when you spend too much of your day online, as I do. One of the social media sites I visit regularly has a habit of flashing up old photos, showing you what you were doing on a particular day some years ago. This morning it flashed up a picture of little old me on a narrowboat six years ago. Very nice it was too. I was sitting there steering the boat, smiling up at my son (who took the photo, by the way), whilst holding a nice hot cup of tea and basking in a bit of early morning autumnal sunshine. If a picture can say a thousand words, this one was saying all sorts of lovely things. Probably in rhyme. Probably asking where all the biscuits were, too, now I come to think of it.
