Wales braced for snow as temperatures drop

TEMPERATURES across some parts of Wales were due to plummet to -10°C as snowy and icy conditions across the country led to weather warnings.

A large portion of the Welsh population woke up to snow yesterday and the cold weather from Arctic air was forecast to continue.

Weather warnings issued by the Met Office were in place, as forecasters predicted temperatures could drop to as low as -10°C in parts of rural mid Wales last night.

A yellow weather warning is in place for Wales for snow and ice, until midday today, with people advised to prepare for snow showers to push further inland across Wales.
