Teen burglar ransacked flat to fund drug habit

A TEENAGE burglar trashed a man's flat, stealing items including a pair of £500 designer trainers to fund his own drug habit, a court has heard.

Eighteen-year-old Christian Richardson - who has previous convictions for burglary, aggravated vehicle-taking, possession of a knife and heroin dealing - was identified as the burglar by fingerprints left at the scene.
The defendant's barrister told Cardiff Crown Court that his client realises he is at a “turning point” in his life and could take one of two paths in the future.
