A CHILD received treatment after collapsing on a remote beach.

Emergency services launched a rescue effort at Porthlysgi Beach, near St Davids in Pembrokeshire, on Sunday.

The St Davids RNLI crew was alerted to the incident in Pembrokeshire while dealing with another call-out which involved a stranded paddleboarder shouting for help in nearby Abereiddy.

While the crew's all-weather lifeboat was searching at Abereiddy, its D-class lifeboat was called to the collapsed child in Porthlysgi.
