Reform leaflets sent to homes on day of Labour MS’ funeral

Nigel Farage’s party is among those anticipated to contest a by-election in Caerphilly to fill a Senedd seat left vacant following Hefin David's passing.

David Bezzina stated that the mailout demonstrated a lack of “common decency and respect”

‘A source from Reform apologised if the mailout had caused any distress, stating it was not intended to arrive on that particular day.

Following the funeral, it came to light that residents in the constituency had received a mailout from Reform UK that same day.

‘The bilingual leaflet, in both English and Welsh, took the form of a letter from Nigel Farage, arguing that Labour had let down Wales on jobs, the NHS and immigration.

It requested voters for a donation and their contact details, along with a brief questionnaire asking whether they would support the party and if they would be willing to display a poster.

One version of the mailout had an envelope to return the form to an address in Caerphilly town centre.
