Principality chief stands down after 18 years at building society

CHIEF executive of the Principality Building Society, Julie-Ann Haines, has announced she is standing down after 18 years with the UK's sixth biggest mutual.
The Cardiff-headquartered business, which has assets of £14.1bn, has confirmed she will be succeeded by chief financial officer Iain Mansfield as chief executive designate from this Monday, before taking up the role formally, subject to regulatory approval, next month.
Aberdeen-born Ms Haines held various senior positions with the mutual before being appointed chief executive in 2020.
She steered the business through the pandemic, served on the Prime Minister's UK Business Council, as well as implementing an ambitious growth strategy, which is on track to double the size of the business and reach one million savers by 2030.
