'Plaid and Reform offer fantasy politics, not meaningful change'
Western Mail

Here, senior Conservatives Mims Davies and Byron Davies admit the party did not get everything right, but insist they are a better option than their Senedd rivals
-
IN THE run-up to the Senedd election, which will take place in just six months' time, a land of milk and honey will again be promised by both Plaid Cymru and Reform.
Predictably, these two nationalist and populist forces will not be able to provide any credible or detailed blueprint to sufficiently explain how they will ensure Wales' revives from 26 years of Labour Welsh government.
Since Tony Blair was Prime Minister as far back as 1999, the Labour Welsh Government in Cardiff has been in control of Wales' economy, transport, water and rivers (including their pollution), hospitals and schools.
And what has happened since 1999?
Well, literally, hundreds of millions of taxpayers’ cash has been thrown at promoting ideological hobby horses, including £120m on creating 36 extra politicians in the Senedd, more than £30m on a controversial 20mph speed limit, millions spent on planting trees across Uganda, more than £40m on propping up Cardiff Airport - and the list of wanton extravagance and lack of accountability needlessly goes on...
Following decades of ineptitude, the people of Wales have rightly had quite enough of the dreadful level of public services the Labour Welsh Government is inflicting upon them.
We are the only party that understands the damage Labour has done - because the other two alternatives are walking disasters. It's clear these two parties are not about standing up for Welsh taxpayers.
