Perry Ng's goal and a stoppage-time penalty from Yousef Salech saw the Bluebirds win their sixth League One game of the season to remain fourth in the table.

Cardiff had the majority of possession and the bulk of the shots. But the result was always in doubt until Salech fired home his spot-kick.

"When you have so much control and so much possession you feel as if your dominance should be reflected on the scoreboard," Cardiff boss Barry-Murphy told the BBC.

"When it was 1-0 that wasn't the case. So we had to show a lot of nerve and game-management to see the game through and in the end we got what we deserved.

"I was aware of the jeopardy in the game.
