Moffett's scathing attack on WRU plans for reform

FORMER WRU Chief Executive David Moffett has delivered a scathing assessment of the way the game in Wales is being run as the Union enters a formal consultation with the four professional clubs ahead of possibly cutting their number in half.

And the outspoken Moffett (pictured), who is now head of sport at Scarlets investors House of Luxury, is adamant that more central control is not the way ahead.

As part of the proposed plans the WRU would take control of the entire rugby operations of the remaining teams but are still asking the benefactors to pour money in.

"I thought the entire document was a crock of s**t with no understanding of Welsh culture, fans or the future of the sport," Moffett said.
