KAYNE McLaggon rolled back the years to end Cambrian United's unbeaten start in JD Cymru South as he scored the winner to earn Newport City a 2-1 home triumph.

The former Barry Town United talisman, who stepped down from the Cymru Premier in the summer, struck in the 87th minute to settle a tussle in which the visitors were forced to play with 10 men for the final 24 minute after Ashley Evans picked up two yellow cards in the space of six minutes.

His first came just before Danny Hillman got Newport back on level terms with his 64th-minute strike and two minutes later he was dismissed.

Cambrian came into the game on the back of five straight wins and got off to a fine start when Liam Easson grabbed his fourth goal of the season in the 18th minute.
