DYLAN Lawlor has emerged as an injury doubt for Cardiff City's clash with Reading tomorrow after suffering a groin injury while on international duty with Wales.

- GLEN WILLIAMS Football writer glen.williams@walesonline.co.uk

The Bluebirds defender was selected by Craig Bellamy for the most recent international break, with rumours suggesting a groin injury forced him to miss out on the 4-2 Belgium defeat on Monday.

And that has indeed proved to be the case, with Brian Barry-Murphy confirming that City will have to assess the player ahead of this weekend's fixture.

"He wasn't available for the game on Monday based on him having a slight groin issue," Barry-Murphy said.

"He's had it previously with us. So he's not clear of that yet.

"We haven't seen him because he hasn't trained with us since.

"So hopefully this afternoon (Thursday) he'll partake in training in some way. But as of now he's a doubt based on the fact that we just haven't seen him train since he's been away with Craig and the Welsh team.

"I'm not an expert on maturation or growing, but he seems to be growing and developing a lot physically.
