He stumbled to car from the pub then drove into pensioner

A DRINK-DRIVER veered from the road and crashed into a bus shelter, leaving a woman in her late eighties with horrific injuries.
The driver was seen on CCTV attending a number of pubs, where he was seen drinking pints of lager, before the collision.
Kelsey Kent, 30, had been drinking heavily through August 24 last year before he drove a black Suzuki Swift into Sheila Hughes in Risca, Caerphilly.
Shortly before the crash he was seen walking to his car from a pub and appeared unsteady on his feet and was engaging in "boorish behaviour".
A sentencing hearing at Newport Crown Court heard the defendant was driving between Risca and Crosskeys at excessive speeds of around 40mph in a 20mph zone.
As he entered St Mary Street, Kent was seen to veer from his lane to the opposing lane before mounting the pavement, on which he drove for some distance.
The vehicle then smashed through a bus shelter, spun around, and ended up against the wall of a house.
Prosecutor Ieuan Bennett said the defendant must have fallen asleep behind the wheel but Kent later claimed he was "distracted" at the time.
