End of an era as toy shop to shut after 25 years

A BELOVED toy shop that has sparked excitement for generations of children is set to close its doors for good.
Yesteryears, a familiar presence on Conwy High Street, will shut later this month, bringing an end to 25 years of trading in the heart of the historic town.
Founded in 2000 by Georgina and Mike Pattinson, the shop has welcomed thousands of children and families, becoming a go-to stop for birthday treats, holiday gifts and wide-eyed window browsing.
The business was later taken on by Zoe Toffrey, who continued to run the store on the busy high street. But she said ongoing uncertainty over the future of the premises has made it impossible to plan ahead.
